I can not get enough of this hat! It’s the most adorable crochet project I’ve worked on in awhile. I’ve made 3 in 2 days! While working with the fuzzy yarn is a bit complicated in my opinion, the ending result makes it completely worth it!
What You’ll Need
- 5mm Hook – This is the hook I use:
- Weight 4 acrylic yarn – I used Hobby Lobby I love this yarn
- Weight 6 fuzzy yarn – I used Yarn bee’s: Fur the Moment from Hobby Lobby
- Tapestry needle
Stitches Used:
- Ch – Chain
- Sc – Single Crochet
- Dc – Double crochet
- Slst – Slip Stitch
- Inc – Increase
My Gauge Swatch
Ch 18, dc in the 3rd chain from your hook and in each remaining chain.
Ch 2 and turn, dc in each stitch (16)
Continue doing this until you have 6 rows.

Rim
Using Fur the Moment yarn:



Chain 54 and Slst into the first chain you made



R1: Ch 2, place a dc in each ch. Slst into the first dc you made when you reach the end of your row. (54)

R2-3: Repeat row 1 (54)
Now switch to the I love this yarn:




R4: Attach your yarn to the rim of your hat. Ch 2, dc in the same stitch and in the next, inc in the following


*Dc in the next 2 stitches, Dc inc in the next* Continue repeating ** until the end of your round. (72)

R5-17: *Ch 2, dc in same stitch as your ch 2, Place a dc in each st. Slst* Continue repeating this until you get to round 17.

R18: Slst 14 more times



Ch 1, sc the front and back dc’s together, sc across the top of you hat connecting both sides. Tie off and weave in your ends. Fold up the rim, and you have a finished hat!
